MAE/MAS Super Burnishing METRIC Size Drills

Mitsubishi Materials USA Corporation introduces additional METRIC sizes of the MAE/MAS Super Burnishing drill to our Drilling Family. The MAE/MAS type drill is designed for high accuracy drilling of Aluminum and Cast Iron
Technical Information:
- MAE - 3xD (Non-Coolant Thru) from 3.0mm to 16.0mm at 0.1mm increments
- MAS - 3xD & 6xD (Coolant Thru) from 3.0mm to 16.0mm at 0.1mm increments
- Four Flutes - Excellent chip evacuation
- No Hone = Easier & freer cutting
- Four Margins = Better finish & hole accuracy
- 10 degree helix angle = Faster chip evacuations allows for higher speeds and feeds
Applications to Target:
- Cast Aluminum Alloys & Die Cast Aluminum Alloys
- Cast Iron & Ductile Cast Iron
Benefits:
- Four flutes and smaller web thickness allows for excellent chip evacuation
- Four margins allows for excellent finish and hole accuracy
- No hone allows for easier and freer cutting
- Small helix angle (10 degrees) gives you faster chip evacuation, which gives you higher speeds & feeds, which allows for excellent surface finish and hole size
