The Tsukuba Manufacturing Plant is Mitsubishi's latest and most sophisticated carbide production facility. Built just a few years ago at a cost of $200 million, this high technology and automated production facility boasts a high degree of automation from robotic power transportation system to computer-aided product desig and, to ultra contemporary unmanned 24 hours a day automated carbide pressing equipment.

The Tsukuba Manufacturing Plant, despite Japanese currency appreciations, has continued to be one of the most highly productive and economical-high quality producers of carbide in the world.

The Gifu Plant is Mitsubishi's other technology research and manufacturing facility. Mitsubishi Carbide inaugurated its tungsten carbide cutting tools production at this plant in the 1970's. Manufacturing and design has been expanded into new point and solid carbide drills,boring tools, milling cutters and PCBN tools. Our Gifu Plant continues to advance even further as a leader in the global metal cutting industry.
