An addition to the SPX end mill series, the JM breaker inserts

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured the new JM breaker inserts for its SPX deep shoulder milling end mill series. These will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).
The SPX end mill series, launched in January 2007, features the WH breaker, wavy cutting edge inserts. This results in stable machining even during heavy machining at large depths of cut. The new JM breaker inserts will be supplied to widen the application area available for this end mill.Key features of the JM breaker inserts

- The 3-D curved cutting edge is employed to achieve excellent wall surface accuracy (0.07mm).

- Offers excellent edge sharpness and stable performance when machining both steels and stainless steels.
- 3.
- Inserts are available in 2 grades, VP15TF and VP20RT to cover a wide range of work materials.
- 4.
- Suitable for use with all the existing tool bodies.
