Launch of VF-2XLBS, 2 flute IMPACT MIRACLE long neck ball nose end mill (short shank)

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured a new 2 flute, long neck ball nose end mill (short shank), VF-2XLBS for its IMPACT MIRACLE series. The VF-2XLBS will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).

In recent years, with an increase in small mould applications such as mobile phones and digital cameras, high-speed, high-precision small machining centres for use with shrink fit holders have also increased.

For the VF-2XLBS, the overall length is optimised for use with shrink fit holders on small machining centres to obtain an ideal overhang. Additionally, use of Impact Miracle coating with high heat and wear resistance allows for high efficiency, high quality machining of moulds.
