Launch of C-3SARB, 3 flute ALIMASTER radius end mill (short cut length)

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured a new 3 flute radius end mill (short cut length), C-3SARB for the ALIMASTER end mill series for high efficiency aluminium alloy machining. The C-3SARB will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).

In recent years, with the expansion of the aerospace industry, there has been an increasing demand for high efficiency machining of aluminium alloy used for aerospace applications such as body and wing components. To meet such demand, Mitsubishi Materials has supplied the ALIMASTER end mill series for high efficiency machining of aluminium alloy and now the 3 flute radius type is newly added to the series.

The C-3SARB is a radius type end mill of the C-3SA, 3 flute ALIMASTER end mill (short cut length) that has enjoyed a good reputation for high efficiency machining of aluminium alloy due to the employment of a short cutting edge length and relieved neck(1) for all sizes and cross-section flute geometry with good chip discharge properties.
