The VF-MHV end mill employs an irregular helix flute geometry
(2) that has a combination of different helix angles to significantly reduce vibrations during machining. Additionally, the VF-MHV is a range of square type end mills that can offer high efficiency machining even when used in deep slotting and thin wall applications. Furthermore, the use of Impact Miracle coating that offers excellent heat and wear resistance makes it suitable for a wide range of workpiece materials ranging from difficult-to-cut materials such as stainless steel and titanium alloy through to hardened materials.
- 1.
- Use of an irregular helix flute geometry that is designed by optimizing a combination of different helix angles assists in preventing vibrations even for operations with long overhang and thin walled parts. This results in reduced vibrations and excellent surface finishes, allowing higher efficiency even when deep slotting.
- 2.
- Use of new flute geometry with excellent chip disposal makes it also suitable for heavy machining.
- 3.
- Impact Miracle coating with high heat resistance is applied. This allows higher film hardness, higher oxidation resistance and a lower friction coefficient, making it possible to achieve high precision, high quality machining.
- 4.
- A total of 12 sizes are available from ø6~20mm. Long length and inverted stepped (cutting edge diameter > shank diameter) types are also available, making the series also ideal for deep slotting.
