Launch of the MGS solid carbide gun drill series

Mitsubishi Materials Corporation has recently developed and manufactured a new series of solid carbide gun drills MGS. These new drills will start to be sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Tanaka, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).

The MGS solid carbide gun drill is a high-grade carbide, solid type drill capable of drilling holes with high roundness and straightness tolerances and is suitable for
(1) continuous feed drilling of 30~50xD hole depths.
Features of the MGS solid carbide gun drill

- Possible to drill small-diameter, deep holes with continuous feed, therefore allowing for extra high efficiency machining. (L/D=30~50D)

- Can be used with a driver for gun drill machines (special machines) and shrink fit holders.
