Mitsubishi Adds New Sizes to the Solid Carbide End Mill Roughing Series

Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will expand it’s range of MIRACLE roughing end mills, the VC-SFPR, series will gain 4 additional sizes 2 and the C-MRA series for aluminium will gain 2 additional sizes.
1. MIRACLE Roughing End Mill, VC-SFPR
- 1.
- Roughing end mill series for heavy cutting of general steel, hardened steel, stainless steel and heat-resistant alloys.
- 2.
- The special cross-section flute geometry results in lower cutting forces and superior chip control. The high fracture-resistant cutting edge design in combination with the low cutting force allows for improvements in efficiency.

- Wide size selection. Now 13 sizes including the smallest ø3.

2. Roughing End Mill for Aluminium, C-MRA
- 1.
- Roughing end mills for high efficiency machining of aluminium alloys. Over 6,000cc/min metal removal achieved when used on the latest high-speed machines.
- 2.
- Additional to the series is the small of 3mm diameter for a wider application range.
- 3.
- Use of a special cross-sectional geometry for better chip discharge, a chipping-resistant nick shape, and a helix angle optimized for aluminium cutting. As a result, low vibration and high efficiency during high speed milling.
