Release of IMPACT MIRACLE End Mills

Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will release 2 new IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series.
These new end mills are for machining hardened materials. Utilisation of
the new IMPACT MIRACLE coating based on the popular, MIRACLE (Al,Ti,Si)N coating technology
for hardened materials, has increased film hardness and heat resistance. The
film hardness and oxidation temperatures of (Al,Ti,Si)N are made higher by using the
new Single Phase Nano Crystal Coating Technology. It has been developed by combining
Mitsubishi Materials and Mitsubishi Materials Kobe Tools’ material and PVD coating
technology. Together with this new coating, a special cemented carbide substrate and
new cutting edge geometry combine to make IMPACT MIRACLE end mills suitable for machining
pre-hardened mould materials.Key Features

- Newly developed IMPACT MIRACLE coating. High precision and high quality machining of hardened mould materials can be achieved by using end mills coated by the Single Phase Nano Crystal Technology that delivers higher film hardness, higher oxidation resistance and lower friction coefficient than the existing MIRACLE coating.

- Improved cutting end and flute shape. High-speed, high-precision, stable machining of hardened materials due to the highly chip-resistant cutting edge geometry.
