New IMPACT MIRACLE End Mill Series and Additional Sizes

  Mitsubishi Materials Kobe Tools Corporation has recently developed and manufactured a new series of end mills called IMPACT MIRACLE. These new end mills are being sold by Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo).

  Mitsubishi Materials Kobe Tools’ IMPACT MIRACLE end mills are for machining hardened materials. Utilisation of the new IMPACT MIRACLE coating based on the popular, MIRACLE (Al,Ti,Si)N coating technology for hardened materials, means an increase in film hardness and heat resistant properties. The film hardness and oxidation temperatures of the (Al,Ti,Si)N are made higher by using the new Single Phase Nano Crystal Coating Technology. The end mills have been developed by combining new material and PVD coating technologies from Mitsubishi Materials and Mitsubishi Materials Kobe Tools’ respectively. The new coating, the special cemented carbide substrate and new cutting edge geometry combine to make IMPACT MIRACLE end mills suitable for machining pre-hardened mould materials.
  The newest addition to the IMPACT MIRACLE end mill series is a short cut length type, code-named VF-SD. Additionally, a series of 2 flute ball nose end mills, code-named VF-2SB, have now been expanded with smaller radii sizes
