Mitsubishi Adds a Tough New MIRACLE Coated Insert Grade VP30RT to the AQX series

  After recently developing and manufacturing a new grade for the AQX end mill, Mitsubishi Materials Tools Corporation (President: Osamu Takata, Headquarters: 1-6-1 Yokoami, Sumida-ku, Tokyo) will launch the inserts in a tough MIRACLE coated grade, called VP30RT.
The AQX is the ultimate, multi-functional indexable insert end mill currently available in the market. A single tool and insert geometry that can machine in wide variety of cutting modes such as shoulder milling, grooving, drilling, helical milling, pocketing and ramping.

  The PVD, MIRACLE coated VP30RT grade, was released to respond to a strong demand for a tougher inserts with higher fracture resistance. This new grade enables stable cutting especially when machining stainless steel, where inserts are vulnerable to abnormal damage. Additionally they are suitable for machining various materials at heavy interrupted depths of cut where conventional inserts would be liable to fracture, therefore considerably extending tool life.
Two standard grades are now available VP30RT, and the MIRACLE coated VP15TF
for the APX3000. This allows for stable machining in a wider range of applications adding
to the total performance of AQX and increasing its reputation as a world standard,
multi-functional end mill.
