UC grades for cast iron

WIDE RANGE OF INSERTS
With the introduction of the versatile MA breaker and a new series of positive inserts, over 200 types, of both negative and positive inserts are now available for a wide range of efficient cast iron turning.

Features
A unique combination of coating, surface treatment and versatile carbide substrates provide a much needed performance gain over conventional grades for high speed cast and ductile cast iron turning. UC5105 for high speed continuous cutting. UC5115 for rough and interrupted cutting.

ADVANCED SURFACE TREATMENT
"All Black Super Even Coating Technology." This new surface treatment technology makes it possible to achieve an advanced level of smoothness to the top coating. As a result of reduced friction, the smoother-than-normal surface coating prevents welding and edge chipping to allow reliable turning.

DIVERSE CARBIDE SUBSTRATES
UC5105 has the highest hardness carbide substrate that remains suitable for coating and is suited to the high structural demands of high-speed machining. UC5115 has an all-around, extremely tough cemented carbide substrate for reliability even during heavy interrupted cutting.
